of 65 years will experience a serious fall. This statistic is even higher
for people for suffer from
dementia.
This presentation addresses fours areas of safety
for the person with dementia: Falls; Nutrition; Medications; and Wandering
or Walking.
Fall risk covers
both environmental risks and risks associated with poor physical condition.
Ways to address both issues will be included. Each of these areas is approached
from the standpoint of general indicators for risk factors and approaches
that can be used to reduce risk. Learn both the specific questions you should
be asking, and the answers as well.
